Jewel Cafe and Bar Review
Cafe and Bar Review: ewel Cafe and Bar has been among the most memorable experiences at Farrer Park, apart from L’etoile Cafe. It’s got a distinct appeal that is its extensive menu and carefully crafted food.
This is a great place to go for those who have a passion for hidden cafes with gorgeous interiors. For the best part, you will be able to take in a delicious cup of coffee and tasty desserts in a cozy location.
Personally, I love the look and design of Jewel Cafe. It has hints of an industrial look, but not to the point that it is uncomfortable and unclean. In the end, it is there to reflect the prestige of a jewel.
The beautiful shophouse is another story that has comfy seating.
To match the brand’s image In keeping with its brand, the bulbs were selected with care. We were shocked to hear the price tag of each.
Food & Drinks
If we had placed an order for a cold Drip at night We knew we were in for an insomniac night. It was a delicious sweetness from the milk and is finished with a slight bitterness. This is a perfect drink to drink on a hot summer day.
The meal started with a French onion soup. It was topped with a crust made of three kinds of cheese: Swiss cheese, Parmesan, and Emmental.
This was delicious to the broth of beef that was stuffed with plenty of crudités. Our only complaint is that onions appeared to get lost amid the croutons.
Another meal we enjoyed to start our meal was our Red Mullet salad. The deliciously grill-grilled fish that was soft and warm was perfect with the crisp and fresh greens.
The salad dressing was tart and sweet, creating an enticing and delicious finishing touch to the meal. We enjoyed the flavor combination.
I admire Jewel’s creativeness in bringing a dish that is not commonplace to the table. It was a Fish tac with sour cream mayonnaise that was an excellent choice.
Nuggets of golden crispy cooked fish covered in toasty corn shells explode into the mouth with a crunch and delicious spice flavors. The sauce softened the dish and balanced the flavors perfectly. It left a long impression on our taste buds.
The Singaporean in us simply cannot refuse our Chili Crab Pasta. The aroma was of exotic spices and could not wait to begin. I am a big lover of the chili crab flavor.
my first step was to take a large bite of the sliced bun that was dipped into this spicy condiment. It is important to note that this isn’t the typical chili crab sauce that we find in seafood restaurants however, it is an innovative creation of the proprietor and also a lover of crabs.
The version we tried had more of a sour taste to it and the spice was a bit stingy on the taste buds as we enjoyed the taste. It is definitely for those who are adventurous.
The table’s carnivores were cheering at the moment the OMG! hamburger was served. The signature dish from Jewel Cafe had won the feed of numerous foodstagrammers thanks to its enormous appearance and extensive usage of the ingredients.
Imagine bacon or luncheon meat, hand-made beef patty, and a stunning sunny-side-up egg for the ultimate piece of food.
This is a perfect choice for anyone who’s been missing delicious meat for a while however, more importantly, it was a bit typical. The patty could be improved by adding more moisture and spice.
The fries were, however, were among the finest we’ve come across during our countless meals. They were crispy on the outside, but soft inside.
They retained their quality even after sitting at our table for a half hour. The fries on this platter were superior to the other fries on the plate. shame.
We were thrilled with our arrival at our Homemade Apple Crumble. We couldn’t believe the size of its portion but decided to eat it nonetheless. The uniqueness of this dish is the way it is presented.
Instead of making it into the traditional pie form, it is served with a crumble that encases the caramelized apples underneath. The benefit of this is that you can have plenty of crumble to pair alongside your apples.
This is crucial for creating that perfect consistency. In addition, there is it’s the delicious and creamy ice cream that was carefully selected by a rigorous blind tasting process, you know which gave it the perfect finish.
Overall, it was a balanced dish which isn’t overly sweet. It is an excellent choice for anyone who is considering an end-of-day dessert option. your dinner.
Although we were stuffed with delicious food we couldn’t resist the attraction of the Chocolate Brownie.
I was thinking we’d be able to squeeze in only one bite of this however, the brownie that resembled fudge with the rich and creamy vanilla Ice cream was so tasty and we devoured spoon after spoon. It is an actual fact that there is a separate area for desserts. It was certainly worth the calories.
In a Nutshell
We had a wonderful evening at Jewel and were full! Our stomachs would have been better with a fraction of the amount we ate, as each restaurant served large portions.
With a wide menu of food that is diverse, there will be some flops and hits, and we are glad to try some of the top options in this place.
The beautiful interior was a wonderful setting to enjoy a delicious meal or perhaps a peaceful coffee break during a working day.
